It has been three years since Braddigan started his solo career. He rode the waves with the indie band Dispatch for nine years until this past summer when the band made music history with its epic farwell concert in Boston drawing an estimated 110,000 people. Dispatch is making history again this summer with “Dispatch:Zimbabwe”, three sold-out charity shows at Madison Square Garden! Braddigan carries on with the Dispatch legacy spending time building relationships, both locally and overseas, investing in a community of listeners who desire more than just music.
Braddigan is an intense soul, a visionary living a wild and traveled life with a clear purpose of bringing people together. Music, film, family, surfing, and hanging with kids in far-away lands are his passions. Whether he's touring in the states or working on one of his projects in Central or South America, his approach is the same, “Its never what you do in life, but the heart with which you do it. I'm just trying to keep it simple: yea, of course I love making music, but it's just a bridge... getting to be with people because I play and sing, getting them all fired up, and giving voice to the voiceless, now that's where it's at..."
Braddigan’s sound has been descibed as “if one day Jack Johnson met Bob Dylan at Marley’s house for a jam session.” Currently touring with his band featuring Reinaldo (from Puerto Rico) on percussion and Tiago (from Brazil) on bass, the assortment of reggae, folk, latin, and rock is a truly unique experience.
Presently, Braddigan is touring in support of his first DVD release, “Side of the Road”, which is part live concert and part humanitarian documentary. He splits his time between recording and touring and working on the ground with a community of about 1500 people living in the city trash dump in Managua, Nicaragua. He has founded an organization called Love, Light, and Melody to tell the stories, and help people in the US get involved.
These four homebrewed Vermonters all have one thing in common… a deep appreciation for a diverse array of music. After going to high school together, Iain (electric and acoustic guitars, vocals), Blaine (acoustic guitar, vocals), and Matt (drums, percussion) knew that they were all interested in pursuing music, but it wasn’t until after graduation that they decided to experiment with these musical interests. From there, it was only a matter of time before the three started creating the beginnings of what they now call Amozen. In November of 05' the final touch was added to the group, Big Matty Pendris (bass, harmonica, and vocals). Once the lineup was solidified they started playing shows and soon after went into the studio. It's been over a year now and they have showed no signs of slowing down. Their love and appreciation of music combined with personal lyrics helps deliver their musical message: Love the sound you’ve found. The sound they have found draws its roots from reggae, rock, pop, blues, bluegrass, jazz, acoustic, independent music, funk, rap, hardcore and more. Catch them live and see what “Alternative Re-jam” sounds like.
In 2002, after spending some time volunteering for the relief effort in Kosovo, I moved back to Boston and began forming the band. We called ourselves the Adam Ezra Group because I'm a self-absorbed, egomaniac, and threw together a CD that I paid for by doing carpentry for the guy who owned the recording studio. Over the next three years, we've had a pretty fun ride, releasing a second CD, signing a touring deal with Budweiser, and playing with some incredible musicians along the way.
