Rawk Hawd presents
FIVE SECONDS EXPIRED is:
Josh Cooper (guitar); Todd Dunn (guitar); Jeff Howlett (vocals); Shaun Varney (bass/backing vocals); Gary Williams (drums&percussion)
Combining eclectic influences; the members of 5 Seconds Expired create a textured, melodic, aggressive, dynamic, tonal, rhythmic range of sounds. This approach was expanded with the self-titled album (2004). 5SE have a long history of writing music together in this band and outside projects, and the band occasionally revisits it's hardcore roots, previously known as Slush, and songs from the first release "Null" (1996) during it's live performances. 2007 brings a new album "Destroyer E.P." that is also some of the heaviest material yet.
To The Wolves formed in the winter of 2007. The two remaining members (Nick Nardelli-vox, and Dan Murphy-bass) of Never Only Once, the longtime hardcore/indie/back-to-hardcore band joined up with guitarist Chris Cimicata and Joe Cortese (formerly of ATR out of Minneapolis, MN) with the goal of making brutal, technical, uncompromising, and most importantly evil sounding music. So far, so good! The July Higher Ground show marks the founding members first trip back to VT. Hailing from Burlington, VT this 5-piece rock outfit formed in early 2005.
Blinded By Rage is a beastly mix of hardcore and metal. Live show is something to be seen. Having ruled Burlington for years they continue to draw new fans adding to their already ferociously loyal base. 5 guys, makin noise.
Hailing from Burlington, VT this 5-piece rock outfit formed in early 2005. Made up of Vermont natives Matthew O’Neil, Joe Villemaire, Matt Barron and Hans Olson alongside New York native Ben Fine, the band honed a unique brand of metallic rock and melodic hardcore for over a year before heading into the studio with Unearth guitarist Ken Susi. Over a span of a two grueling sessions during 2006 the band emerged with Waiting for a Miracle, 10 songs with “enough pop sparkle for the MTV set, while rocking hard enough to satisfy Rites of Spring/Jawbreaker purists.”
Nowhere Found plays hard-hitting alternative rock. A melodic-style vocalist combines with original metal riffs and thundering rhythm on drums and bass. Our music is conducive to dancing bodies, banging heads and souls elevated in praise to the gods of rock.
Formed in a small town in northwestern Vermont, Nowhere Found's creation is the result of an uncanny set of eerie circumstances that may never be fully explained. The band does not question fate; it accepts the good graces and focuses on its mission of writing original music that will motivate your subconscious rock glands.
Describing Nowhere Found's music is best left to the experts: the listeners. NF's fans have compared their music to Godsmack, Soundgarden and 3 Doors Down. In the burgeoning hardcore scene of Burlington, Vermont, they are a unique entity, writing music that strives to cross all borders with universal appeal.
The band recorded its first EP, entitled "Bleed Like Me," at Madcow Productions in Essex, Vermont. This professional effort is their debut introduction to the wider regional audience of New England, and has already been well received.
Nowhere Found is ready to remind you what rock is all about. Are you ready to remember?
