Josie Leavitt comes to Higher Ground from Charlotte, VT, where she owns the Flying Pig Bookstore. Before moving to Vermont from Manhattan nine years ago, Josie did stand-up for a living at such places as Caroline's, the Comic Strip, The Comedy Cellar, and Stand-Up NY, where she won the contest for 1993�s Funniest West Sider. Josie is an EMT, so if anyone chokes from laughing too hard, she can revive them for the next joke.
