The Battle will showcase ten outstanding comedians who received top scores during recent HG Comedy Open Mic events. This year’s lineup promises to be the best Battle yet!

Kevin Colacchio at 6'5" tall and weight unknown (wearing Hawaiian shirt) is the Big Kahuna of local comedy. Kevin, a contestant in Comedy Battle #3 has also starred in the Local Lords of Laughter Comedy show, has opened for the Champlain Valley Fair's Master Hypnotist - Steve Bayner's Adult Shows in 2006 and 2007, and has been a regular in Plattsburg at Olive Ridley's comedy nights. Come see the big guy bring big laughs!

Paul Cook taught history and drama in a high school for 5 years, wrote and directed all the student plays, has written a total of 11 plays, a novel, and countless political articles. His therapist suggested a combination of stand-up comedy, alcohol, and shock therapy.....after surviving a near death accident 4 years ago, Paul currently works as a counselor in an agency helping the disabled.

T.J. Lippie is a former athelete, a functioning alcoholic, chef, all around funny man, and sex machine.

Roger Miller is a 20 year old, junior at Johnson State College majoring in creative writing.

Alex Nief is a seasonal sales associate.

Jack Offenhartz is a 17 year old junior at Burlington High School. He’s a big fan of watching sports, and hanging out with friends. He likes the colors blue and green.

Tracie Spencer is a very successful stand-up comic--and by successful she means, she's never thrown up on stage.

A native Bay-stater, Garret Sullivan originally hails from Cape Cod. He first became interested in comedy when way back in the fourth grade friends told him he should be a comedian.

Mike Thomas is often referred to as the “Class Clown”. Instead of doing his homework he writes jokes. Last year he placed in the top 4 of the Higher Ground Comedy Battle #3 and hopes to have better luck this year.

Pierre "The Beast" Vachon is a full time pro-wrestler/comedian. "The Scariest Man in Comedy" brings his high energy and aggressive comic style to the stage at Higher Ground. Whether you are laughing or scared, "The Beast" Will keep you entertained!

Carol White got her start in comedy at a prison variety show playing to a captive audience. She has performed stand-up at Waitsfield's Cabin Fever Follies, and, participated in a comedy workshop at the Flynn Center last fall. She lives in Warren, VT.
