The Point Radio Network and Magic Hat Brewing present the 11th annual Advance Music Acoustic Singer/Songwriter Contest.  Drawing seasoned musicians, as well as those who have never performed in public, the contest always proves to be an eclectic and diverse event, showcasing many musical and lyrical styles, textures, and tastes.  Stop in to Advance Music in Burlington or call 863-8652 to sign up for one of the two semi finals by October 19th, registration is limited to 30 contestants. If you're not a musician, head to Nectar’s on Tuesday October 20th or Halverson's Upstreet Cafe on Tuesday October 27th and cheer for your favorite performer, while enjoying some great music, libations, and atmosphere.  The top three from each of these two nights of semi finals, will compete at Higher Ground on Wednesday November 4th for a winner takes all prize package, including a beautiful Taylor acoustic guitar and recording time to produce a 3 song demo CD at KTR Recording.
