Born in a remote part of Montana along the Assiniboine-Sioux Reservation, Stacy witnessed the vastness and beauty of a harsh land and the people who live in it. Lewis and Clark stood in her home town and said "this land is unliveable".

Stacy Rock has been compared to a baffling variety of artists including Tom Waits, Tori Amos, Paul McCartney, Carol King, Stevie Nicks, Emmylou Harris and even Bob Dylan. In spite of the comparisons, Stacy has a truly unique voice as a singer and writer, both original and reminiscent of music from the vinyl age.
