104.7 The Point, VPR & Magic Hat Brewing welcome
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals’ timeless, organic brand of American rock and roll uniquely blends funky blues, soul, and rock from decades past. The group is boldly led by Potter, whose vocal chops have drawn comparisons to legends like Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin, while her scintillating work behind the B-3 conjures up visions of Steve Winwood, Garth Hudson and Billy Preston.
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals will make their triumphant return to VT for a four night stand at HG on December 26, 27, 28, and 31.
Lendway is rock band embedded with pop sensibility that utilizes the character charm of rich vocal harmonies and tasteful sound scapes. Lead vocalist/guitarist Mike Clifford and lead guitarist/vocalist Matt Hagen are seasoned song writers who have collaborated to build an extensive repertoire of original music. Mike's experience with self-engineering and production is evident through his passionately controlled voice and tonal guitar minimalism. The coloring of Matt Hagen's guitar work resonates a dominate presence with sweeping melodic signatures that gently bend tangible qualities into a flourishing listen. Lending his own unique compositions to the band is bassist/vocalist Kevin Lynam whose background in jazz and eclectic rock make way for a palatable low end. While drummer/vocalist Todd Gevry is well versed in just about every genre of music, he defines his style in rock and pop through a solid foundation of warm playing, tasteful craftsmanship and the heightened ability to complement dynamics and textures with those of his own.
