The Dead Sessions, composed of a rotating cast of Northern Vermont's greatest musicians, has quickly become one of Burlington's premier musical experiences. Created when Ben Yurco and Adam King of Turkey Bouillon Mafia wanted to play the music they loved with the local musicians they loved, the Sessions has developed into a regular homecoming of the area's dead-heads. Dead Sessions perform the songs of the Grateful Dead with an atuned ear for realism, while not neglecting the endless sonic paths that the music's framework provides. Past sessions have included members of Blues and Lazers, Trey Anastasio Band, Grippo Funk Band, Liquid Dead, Seth Yacovone Band, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and more. Both warmly familiar and dauntingly explorative, the Dead Sessions are a celebration of a magical band's unstoppable legacy.
