A half-dozen hilarious local comedians turn the Higher Ground Showcase Lounge into a downtown comedy club for one night only, bringing laughter to the Burlington masses. From the rambling storytelling of Pat Lynch and Martha Tormey, to the observational style of Avi Waring and Nathan Hartswick, to the unsettling, oftentimes strange comedy of John Lyons and Chad Smith, there’s something for everyone at this show. About the VCC

Local Vermont comics Nathan Hartswick, John Lyons and Chad Smith joined forces in 2010 to launch the Vermont Comedy Club, an organization that produces and promotes comedy events in the Green Mountain State. The group’s website was launched to give fans a place to find out about local comedy events happening in Vermont, and to give local comics an opportunity to connect--with each other and with people producing comedy in Vermont.
